15 New Year Resolutions For 2020

Happy new year! I know that it has been a couple of weeks but I think it’s okay to wish for a happy new year for the rest of this month right? Or am I just weird? January is the month where you start off by doing all of your new resolutions for the new year but maybe it can be hard to find out what kind of resolutions to have for 2020, so in this blog post, I decided to help you out with some New Year’s resolutions. What is a new year without any resolutions?

Spend Time In Nature

Instead of hanging out with your friends inside, hang out with them outside instead. You can take a walk in the forest, watch the sunset, etc. Being in nature is scientifically proven to make you happier, boost the immune system and make you more creative.

Do Something Nice For Someone Every Day

This is a really great idea. I think everyone should do this one! You can always put a smile on other people’s faces by helping them out with something. You can help people by carrying something for them or just doing something as simple as giving them a nice compliment. That way you will be happy and they will too! Ones you do something nice for someone it makes that person want to pass that on to other people as well!

Find A Workout Community

If you want to start getting healthy and fit this year then start by finding a great workout community. This will help you to stay motivated to workout and it’ll even make you go workout more since you’ll have a great time with them as well.

Compliment Yourself More

Give yourself credit for what you do every day and appreciate yourself for that. Feeling grateful for yourself will make you happier and more relaxed. It’s gonna brighten up your day so much and it will encourage you to make other people feel accepted and grateful for themself as well.

Do That Thing That You’ve Always Wanted To Do

There must be this one thing that you’ve always wanted to do but you’ve put it off by some weird reason. Now is the time to do that thing! Whether it’s to start a business, start a clothing line or whatever it is, just do it! Just start something somewhere, it doesn’t have to be good but I promise that it’ll be better with time. Try to find people in that industry and ask all the questions that you have. Research, research, research for everything! JUST DO IT!!

Set Time Screen Limits

If you know that you are scrolling down Instagram for hours and hours every day then I would recommend you to set time screen limits on your phone. It’s very easy to do, you just have to go into Settings on your iPhone > App Limits > Add Limit > Then choose if it’s social media apps or if it’s games that you are using too much time on.

Capture More Moments

I know that it’s important to live in the moment but it’s also important to have pictures to remember those amazing memories years after. You can make this year more amazing by taking more photos so you can look back at your year.

Plan A Dream Trip

Even if it doesn’t look like you’ll be going on that trip at all because of financial situation or maybe the timing is not right, just plan out the trip and all the details then it is way more likely to come into a reality. This is also called the Law Of Attraction. Law of Attraction is where you plan out something, for example, to go on a dream trip you’ve always wanted to, you just need to have it in your head and get excited about it then the universe will respond and you’ll be able to go on that trip.

Try A New Healthy Recipe Every Month

Try something new! That’s what a new year is for! It’s always good to be healthy so why not just try out something new and healthy to eat every month?

Try Out A New Hobby

This can be anything! Find out what you’ve always wanted to learn. It can be anything like learning to play the piano, take a dance class, go to a pottery class, it can litterally be anything! Just try it out and see if it interests you.

Double Your Savings

Try to double your savings this year! This is a great tip since your saving will always come in handy in the future! Next year you can even try to triple your savings 😉

Read More Books

This can be set up in different ways depending on which way you like. You can set a number of books that you would like to read by the end of the year or you can set it up by how many pages you’d like to read every day, maybe 10-20 pages or read a whole chapter every day. I love to read so this is actually one of the resolutions that I’ll be doing this year! The way I do it is to pick out a fiction and a non-fiction book for each season, that way I have read 8 books at the end of the year!

Wake Up Earlier Or Go To Bed Earlier

This one can be hard for some people since everyone is not a morning person, but try it out anyway! If you normally wake up at 9 am try to wake up at 8 am instead that way you’ll have an extra 1 hour to do a lot of things instead of wasting that 1 hour by sleeping.

Take A Multi-Vitamin Every Day

This is an easy one. You can do this in the morning or at night. You can have it beside your bed and take it every day. Everyone can benefit from a multi-vitamin so make this one, one of your new year resolutions for this year!

Make Your Bed Every Morning

Making your bed will start your day on the right foot. I always make my bed in the morning since I won’t feel my room is put together if my bed isn’t made. So if you are one of those people that hate to make their bed in the morning or maybe you are just lazy to do it, so you just leave your bed as it is, try to make a change this year and make your bed!
