10 Ways To Stay Productive

It’s always great to be productive. I love to be productive, it’s such a great feeling to get stuff done and not think about it anymore. This blog post shows you 10 Ways To Stay Productive.

Take Small Breaks

It’s always important to take small breaks while you are working so that you don’t burn yourself out. If you do not take breaks then I promise you that you’ll want to stop working and just do something that’s unproductive and that is not the way to stay productive, so take small breaks! You can get a snack, go outside and walk in nature with your dog or by yourself, etc.

Make Sticky Notes

Make sticky notes where you write down you due dates on stuff you have to get done and stick them somewhere you’ll always look, maybe on the mirror or on your laptop. It just needs to be somewhere you know that you look at everyday, since you’ll always get reminded that you have to get those tasks done!

Listen To Music

Listen to music. I know some people don’t like to listen to music, so you can just skip this step if you don’t. A great way to stay productive is to listen to classical music which is proven to help the brain study more and longer + remember things better. If you are the type of person that loves to sit in a café but unfortunately it’s raining that day, then you can listen to café noise right here. This website has all kinds of noise and you can adjust it to how you like it, and it totally feels like you are at a café. If you are a white noise kind of person, then you can listen to that on the website as well.

Make To-Do Lists

To-Do lists are lifesavers! Write down all the tasks you have to get done and cross them off once you are done with them. It’s the best feeling ever to cross things off, try it out and let me know! To-Do lists are a great way to get a better overview of all the things you have to get done.

Create A Study/Work Environment

Find out where you work best. Is it at a library? Café? Make that place your “Office”. It should not be your bed since a bed is where you relax and sleep. Find another place, maybe your desk in your room or at the table in your living room. For me, it’s important that it’s well lit both with natural and artificial light and well ventilated, so I always have my windows open so that fresh air can come inside. I also have to have everything right beside me so I don’t have to walk around the house to find something in the middle of work.

Stay Hydrated

Have a glass of water right beside you so that you can drink it while you are working. It’s very important to drink water so that your body will function well when you are working.

Start With The Most Boring/Hard Task

You won’t be motivated to the boring/hard task after you’ve done all the other tasks, that’s just the truth so start by doing the boring task first and then move on to the other tasks.

Commit Publicly

If you have homework you need to get done tonight, tweet about it or make an Instagram storytelling your friends that you need to do your homework and that they have to follow up on you in an hour. Since you’ve committed it publicly you’ll most likely do your homework because now you’ve told everyone that you are getting it done and if you don’t then that’s embarrassing! If you don’t want to tweet or make an Instagram story about it then message your friends to hold you accountable or your parents or siblings.

Avoid Distractions

We are more prone to go on our phone and look on social media once we want to start working since we just want to procrastinate and don’t really want to do the stuff we actually have to get done. Put away your phone and whatever that distracts you in another room, so that you can focus on your work and stay productive.

Reward Yourself

My last tip is to reward yourself after you’ve done all of your tasks. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, it can be anything like eating your favorite snack, watching an episode of your favorite series or going out with your friends.

That was today’s blog post! I hope that it helped you guys to stay productive! Let’s help each other by commenting down below what you do to stay productive! Thank you so much for reading my blog post. Take care of yourself until next time!!

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
