How To Customize Your Macbook│Tips & Tricks

Why not customize our MacBooks while we are just at home? I loooove to customize my MacBook and change my wallpaper and so on often since it makes me feel like I’ve got a brand new laptop, haha! Some of these tips are inspired by Julia Christ 🙂
This blog post is, How To Customize Your Macbook.

Change Folders Icon

Did you know that you can actually change the icon of your folders so you don’t need those boring blue folders anymore? I’ve done this sooo many times and I love how it looks!! The way you do it is pretty simple.

  • Search for any picture you want but you have to add PNG after what you search for so for example “Moon icon png” and then a bunch of moons that are in png will show up.
  • Then you save that picture and open it in preview and click ALT + A to mark the whole picture and then click CMD + C to copy it.
  • Right-click on a folder and click “Get info”
  • And then you click on that little blue folder and click CMD + V to paste it. Sometimes it won’t work on an already existing folder so try to make a new folder and do the steps and then you can copy everything from the old folder to the new one.

Organize Folders

Is your desktop cluttered with folders and pictures all over the place? I have a simple trick you can do to make your desktop look clean and organized.

  • First, go to your desktop
  • Click on “View” and then “Use stacks”
  • Or you can just go to your desktop and right-click anywhere on your desktop and then click on “Use stacks”.
