How To Motivate Yourself On “Off” Days

Are you not feeling motivated enough to get stuff done? Yeah, I get it… I’ve been there as well. Sometimes it can be hard to find the motivation to start doing stuff. Well, at least I hope my 10 Tips On How To Motivate Yourself On “Off” Days is going to help you!

Call Someone

Call your best friend, sister, brother, or just someone that can hold you accountable! Let them know that you are going to do these tasks and tell them to call you in a few hours to check that you’ve actually done them. I feel like this one will work since it would be kind of embarrassing when they call to check up on you and you haven’t done what you were supposed to do. You can also post it on your socials and then you’ll have your followers to hold you accountable!

Celebrate Your Little Wins

Your small wins matter too! You shouldn’t only celebrate something when it’s big. Celebrate when you’ve managed to do 1 task on your to-do list since you didn’t feel motivated at all to it. You have to give yourself credit when you are finally done with that one assignment. Celebrate all the little wins in your life and let me tell you that you most definitely will feel motivated and back on track!

Take A Deep Breath

Remember to always take a deep breath. This will work if you are stressed out and burned out. Just take 3 deep breaths and relax.

Work With Your Friends

Call your friends and make a group study. Go to your favorite coffee shop and sit together while working. Having your friends around and seeing them work will motivate you to work as well.

Be Kind To Yourself

Always be kind to yourself. Never say bad things about yourself just because you don’t feel motivated that day. It’s okay to not feel motivated every day, everyone feels that way one day or another. You probably have done a lot of other stuff the past few days and that’s probably why you don’t feel motivated this day, and that is totally fine!! Don’t beat yourself up because of it.

Get Up

Get up from your sofa, bed, or where ever you are right now and find another place to sit at. Go to your dining area and get some work done or get out of your house and go to your favorite coffee shop, library, or just anywhere that you know will motivate you.

Give Yourself A Break

Sometimes you should just listen to your body and do as it tells you. Ask yourself why you don’t feel motivated. Is it because you have a lot to do? Then only pick some of the things you have to do that day and you can do the rest the next day. Is it because you just want a day off? Then take a day off, remember to always listen to your body! It won’t hurt you if you take a day off and rest, you will feel so much energized the next day and motivated to get some work done since you’ve given your body a whole day to rest.
