10 Tips On How To Survive College

College can be stressful sometimes and you are here to know how to survive college and that’s why I decided that I want to help you out a bit.
This blog is 10 Tips On How To Survive College.

Get Yourself A Planner

First things first, get yourself a planner! This is so important to have when you are going to college since you’ll have a lot of deadlines for assignments and exams and you might think that you’ll remember everything but I promise you that you won’t. Do you really want to be one of those students that get confused when your teacher says that you should get ready for the test because you forgot you had a test that day? No, I don’t think so, that’s why it’s important to get a calendar so that you can write everything down. If you don’t like to have a physical planner then write everything on your calendar app on your phone and put an alarm so that it’ll notify you!

25-5 Rule

This is a great way to study. It’s called the 25-5 rule and what you have to do is that you are going to study for 25 min and then take a 5 min break to get your mind off of your studies and then continue like that! That way you won’t get burned out since you are taking 5 minutes breaks in between.

Deals And Coupons

Since you are a student you can get so many great deals! Search for restaurants that give deals to students or coffee shops etc. Just use the great offers that you’ll get while you are still a student.

It’s always important to have a nice workspace so that you don’t get unmotivated. That doesn’t mean that you should study on your bed though since that’s where you unwind and you sleep, you’ll just end up getting lazy and unproductive. Find a cute space to have as your “office” and make it all cute and aesthetic. I even have a blog post on How To Make Your Office Aesthetic let me know if it was helpful!

Buy Used Books

When you go to college you have to buy your own books, so instead of buying everything new, go look for students that already bought and used those books and are now selling them for a cheaper price!

Set Your Alarm Across The Room

If you are that type of person that keeps hitting snooze when your alarm goes off then it’s time to put your phone away from your bed, so that you have to get up to turn your alarm off. To make it even harder, only set 1 alarm so that you have to get up once the alarm goes off or you will be late for class! You can also change the sound to something obnoxious so that it’ll kind of scare you if you are a deep sleeper.

Listen To Music Without Words

Do not listen to music with words when you are studying since that will just distract you from studying instead of making you focus on your studies. Try to listen to instrumental or classical music instead, I promise you that you’ll be way more focused listening to instrumental music.

Make A Friend

You have to make at least 1 friend or else it’ll be boring to go to school and whenever you are sick or you have to travel or something you’ll need a friend to get notes from, and you’ll need a study buddy one day, so go out there and make some friends!

Find A Job Or An Internship

You need to have some kind of a break from your books so that you don’t burn yourself out and that’s why it’s important to have a part-time job so you can focus on something else. If you are living alone it’ll be very good to find a part-time job since you’ll have rent, electricity and a lot of other bills to pay for. Even though you are still living with your parents a part-time job will be great to have since you can save up money to move out one day!

Take Notes And Study

This is an obvious one, study study study. Set aside at least 1 hour to study when you are back from college. Make your homework or study the notes that you wrote today, this way you’ll learn a lot more. I even have a blog post that’s all about how to prepare for the next semester. Go check it out HERE!!
